Hi math gurus . This is my first post in this forum. I struggle a lot with sum of radicals problems . No matter how hard I try, I just am not able to crack any problem in less than an hour. If things go this way, I reckon I will not be able to pass my math exam.

Believe me, it’s sometimes quite difficult to learn something by your own because of its complexity just like sum of radicals. It’s sometimes better to request someone to teach you the details rather than knowing the topic on your own. In that way, you can understand it very well because the topic can be explained clearly. I agree , a good program can do miracles . I used a few but Algebrator is the best . It doesn't matter what class you are in, I myself used it in Basic Math and Pre Algebra too, so you don't have to be concerned that it's not on your level. If you never had a program until now I can assure you it's very easy , you don't have to know much about the computer to use it. You just have to type in the keywords of the exercise, and then the software solves it step by step, so you get more than just the answer.

I remember having difficulties with y-intercept, matrices and least common denominator. Algebrator is a truly great piece of math software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Basic Math, Remedial Algebra and Algebra 1. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
