logarithmic function longhand

I'm getting really bored in my math class. It's logarithmic function longhand , but we're covering higher grade material. The concepts are really complicated and that’s why I usually doze off in the class. I like the subject and don’t want to drop it, but I have a real problem understanding it. Can someone help me?

I possibly could help you if you can be more specific and give more details about logarithmic function longhand . A right program would be best option rather than a costly math tutor.
