Write the equations of circles given its radius length and center point.
Graph circles on a coordinate plane.

Graph equations using the charts on the graphing calculator.
Graph equations using the x and y intercepts on the graphing calculator
Graph equations using slope – intercept form.
Write the equations of lines in all forms.
Find the point of intersection of lines using the graphing calculator

COORDINATE GEOMETRY

COORDINATE PROOFS: (OPTIONAL)

Place a figure on the coordinate plane
Label the vertices of the figure using the fewest possible variables.
Apply the formulas for slope , distance, and midpoint to find congruent sides, parallel or perpendicular
sides. Organize data
Draw conclusions based on the definitions of the figures, or their properties .

POLYGONS, CIRCLES

AREA IN POLYGONS AND CIRCLES

Identify and use special right triangles to find the length of segments in polygons.
Find the area of regular polygons using the formula.

WEEK 5

POLYGONS, CIRCLES

Use problem solving involving lengths of arcs or areas in polygons.
Determine the areas of sectors and segments in circles.

WEEK 6

SOLID GEOMETRY

PRISMS, CYLINDERS

State the names of all faces and solids.
Find the Perimeter and Area of a base in a prism.
Find the Circumference and Area of a base in a cylinder.
Find Lateral Areas and Total Surface Areas in prisms and cylinders
Find the Volume of prisms and cylinders.

WEEK 7

SOLID GEOMETRY

CONES, PYRAMIDS, SPHERES

State the names of all faces, heights, and solids.
Find the area and perimeter of the base in pyramids and cones.
Apply special right triangles in finding the missing segments in pyramids and cones.
Find the Lateral Area and Total Surface Area of pyramids and cones.
Find the Volume of pyramids and cones.
Find the Total Surface Area and Volume of spheres.

WEEK 8

SOLID GEOMETRY

CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLID: (OPTIONAL)

a.) Design a net pattern that could be used to construct the solids.
b.) Construct regular polygons using circles, central angles, etc to form templates.
Regular polyhedral, truncated polyhedral
Draw the net pattern on poster paper using the templates, rulers , compasses
Decorate the net design using geometrical patterns.
Cut and score the net pattern.
Glue the net pattern into a solid.

ISOMETRIC DRAWING: (OPTIONAL)
Stack blocks into a design.
Draw the view of the following faces of the design: front face, right face, left face, rear view.
Draws the design on isometric dot paper showing a three-dimensional view ( the isometric view ).
