Friends , I am in need of aid on matrices, powers, converting decimals and distance of points. Since I am a newbie to Intermediate algebra, I really want to learn the bedrocks of Algebra 1 completely. Can anyone recommend the best resource with which I can begin reading the basics? I have a class test next week.

Your story sounds familiar to me. Although I was good in algebra for several years, when I started Algebra 1 there were a lot of algebra topics that seemed so complicated . I remember I got a very low mark when I took the exam on factoring radical expressions. Now I don't have this issue anymore, I can solve anything quite easily , even exponential equations and rational expressions. I was lucky that I didn't spend my money on a tutor, because I heard of Algebrator from a a colleague. I have been using it since then whenever I found something hard .

I fully agree with that. Algebrator has already helped me solving problems on factoring radical expressions in the past, and certain that you would like it. I have never been to a reputed school, but all because of this software my math problem solving skills are even better than students studying in one of those fancy schools.

I remember having often faced difficulties with side-side-side similarity, slope and solving inequalities. A really great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem homework a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Remedial Algebra, Pre Algebra and Pre Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
