help solving a summation problem

Can someone help me with my assignment questions ? They are based on help solving a summation problem. I have read a some sample questions on evaluating formulas and hyperbolas but that didn’t really help me in solving the questions on my assignment. I didn’t sleep last night since I have to turn in pretty soon. But the problem is no matter how much time I invest, I just don’t seem to be getting the hang of it. Every question poses a new problem , one which seems to be tougher than climbing Mt.Everest! I need some help as soon as possible. Somebody please guide me.

If you can be explicit about help solving a summation problem, I may be able to help to solve the algebra problem. I found out a a few software programs that are pertinent . I verified them . The Algebrator seemed to be the most suitable one for adding functions, rational equations and slope. It was also simple to manage. It took me step by step towards the solution rather than merely giving the solution. That way I got to learn how to crack the problems too. By the time I was finished, I had learnt how to explain the problems. I found them useful for Algebra 2, College Algebra and Algebra 1 which assisted me in my math classes.
