Problema Solution

A rectangular prism has a volume of 13,200 cubic feet. The base has an area of 660 square feet and all three dimensions are a whole number. What are the dimensions of the rectangular prism?

Answer provided by our tutors

B = 660 ft^2 the area of the base

H = the height

V = 13,200 ft^3 the columne

V = (1/3)BH

(1/3)600H = 13200

........

H = 66 ft

B = width*length

width*length = 660

Since 660 = 11*60 we can assume the dimensions of the prism is: 11 ft, 60 ft and height of 66 ft.
