The manger sold half the sneakers or x/2 sneakers.

Since the sneakers are priced $50 per pair for x/2 sneakers he will earn (x/s)*50 dollars.

The manager sold 80% of the sandals or 0.80y sandals.

Since the sandals are priced $36 per pair for 0.80y sandals he will earn 0.80y*35 dollars.

Now we can calculate the total amount of sales:

(x/2)*50 + 0.80y*36 = 25x + 28.8y dollars.
