Problema Solution

An ultimate Frisbee player set up a rectangular playing field. He took 60 steps to set up the width of the fields. For the length, he took 80 steps and used the already marked distance of 62 meters. The total playing area of the field that he set up is 3960 square meters, which was close enough to the standard size. How many meters did each step of his cover?

This word problem is ambiguous and missing information... for example, "How many meters did each step of his cover?" is not coherent.  I'm guessing perhaps that '80 steps' was used as a reference in order to mark out 62 meters,  If so, then 60 steps would mark out in meters:

(60/80)*62

46.5

So marking off 46.5 meters, giving a total area:

46.5*62

2883

This would be a total area of 2883 square meters.
