Problema Solution

calculate the following remainders using the remainder theorem

1. Calculate the value of a when (x^3-2x^2+ax-12)/(x+3)gives a remainder of 5

2. calculate the value of a when (3ax^3+2x^2+7x+3)/(2x+1) gives a remainder of -a/2

3. calculate the value of k when (2x^3+4kx^2-3k^2x-2)/(x-k) gives a remainder of 10

4. Calculate the value of k when (x^3+x^2-4x+k)/(4x-4) gives a remainder of 16

These problems should not be submitted as 'word problems'.  Algebrator's Polynomial Wizard for 'Long division' should be used.

These problems, however, utilize additionals variables, such as 'ax' and '+k' which are not able to be solved to a numeric remainder.
