All together she will need:
7 1/3 + 7 1/2 = (7 + 7) + (1/3 + 1/2) = 14 + 5/6 = 14 5/6 cups
There are 12 cups per box and 12 < 14 5/6 < 2*12 thus 2 boxes of cereals are needed for the group.
