This is not a word problem and should be solved through Algebrator's Function Wizard titled "Find the domain of a function".  The problem entry is also ambiguous because "8x/x2 -1" may be intended as "(8x/2x) -1" or "8x/(2x -1)" or "(8x/x^2) -1" or "8x/(x^2 -1)".
