Problema Solution
In triangle DEF, if m angle D is 14 less than mangle F and m angle E is 10 more than twice m angle F, find the measure of each angle
Answer provided by our tutors
Let
d = the measure of angle D
f = the measure of angle F
e = the measure of angle E
Since they are angles in a triangle we have:
d + f + e = 180
d = f - 14
e = 10 + 2f
Plug d = f - 14 and e = 10 + 2f into d + f + e = 180:
f - 14 + f + 10 + 2f = 180

........
f = 46 degrees
d = 46 - 14
d = 32 degrees
e = 10 + 2*46
e = 102 degrees
The measure of angle D is 32 degree, the measure of angle E is 102 degrees and the measure of angle F is 46 degrees.
