The wording of this question is open to interpretation... "how far apart are they now?" implies "what is the initial distance between the two planes which will then reach each other in one hour".
the scale up the distance known as 45 minutes after 200 miles to the ratio of 60 minutes:
(60/45) * 200 = 266.7
the two planes start about 267 miles apart from each other
