Let 'x' represent the number of beads needed to make a necklace of 35 beads.

Kenya has 28 and she needs x more so that she has total of 35 beads:

28 + x = 35

x = 35 - 28

x = 7 beads

Kenya needs 7 beads more to make the necklace.

Nancy has 25 and she needs x more so that she has total of 35 beads:

25 + x = 35

x = 35 - 25

x = 10 beads

Nancy needs 10 beads more to make the necklace.
