Problema Solution
one angle of an obtuse triangle is four times the first angle, while the third angle is 30 dgree less than the first angle. what are the degree measures of the three abgles?
Answer provided by our tutors
Let
x = the measure of the first angle
4x = the the second angle
x - 30 = the third angle
Since the measure of the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 we have:
x + 4x + (x - 30) = 180

........
x = 35 degrees
4*35 = 140 degrees
35 - 30 = 5 degrees
The measures of the angles are 35, 140 and 5 degrees.
