On both trips he had the same average speed. If the southern trek took 48 hours, the northern trek took 53 hours, the northern trek was 295 miles longer, how long was each trip?
Answer provided by our tutors
Average Speed = 295/5 = 59 mph
So, Southern trip = 48*59 =2832 mile
Northern trip = 53*59 = 3127 mile
