This problem is asking us to find the Least Common Multiple or LCM of 8 and 12. How we do this is we see at which point 8 and 12 will share a multiple i.e. 16/24.
The multiples of 8 are as follows:
8, 16, 24, 32
For 12:
12, 24, 36
From this we can see that the LCM of 8 and 12 is 24. Or that Lydia will have both lessons 24 days after starting. 24 days after June 1 is June 25 so that is your answer.
