according to question
(a/11) - (b / 7) = 2 ........................(1)
and
a = 2b ..............(2)
putting b = a/2 in (1)
=> (a/11) - (a/14) = 2
=> 14a - 11a = 11 * 14 * 2
=> 3a = 308
=> a = 102.6 years
a's age 13 years ago
= 102.6 - 13
= 89.6 years
