Marsha is having graduation invitations printed. The printer wants $15 to set up the print job, plus $0.40 per invitation printed. She doesn't want to spend more than $50. How many invitations can she have printed
At first she must have to spend $15 for setting up the printer for her work or else it won't be possible to set up the printer and she won't get her job done then.
So after spending $15 she has $50 - $15 = $35, left for the rest of her work-----printing the invitation cards.
As every card costs $0.40, the number of invitation cards will be-------------
(Total amount of money)/(cost of every card)
= 35/0.40
= 87.5
~ 87
So she'll be able to print maximum 87 invitation cards with $50(if she spends the whole $50).
I've tried to write the solution as much clear as I could.
Thanks.
