so b2=x+8, h=6
a=((b1+b2)*h)/2
substituting the values
54=((x+8+x)*6)/2
108=(2x+8)*6
12x=108-48
12x=60
x=5
therefore lengths are b2=5+8=13cm and b1=5cm
