The perimeter of a triangle with 2 equal sides is 46cm. If its base were lengthened by 4cm and each leg were shortened by 7cm, all 3 sides would be equal. Find the length of the base of the original triangle.

b + 4 = s - 7 or s = (b + 11)
b + 2s = 46cm
b + 2(b+11) = 46
3b = 24
b = 8
s = 19
