When 4 gallons of gasoline are added to a tank which is already 1/3 full, the tank is then 1/2 full. How much more gasoline must be added to fill the tank?

Let x be capacity of tank( in gallons)
x/3 + 4 = x/2
x/2-x/3=4
x/6=4
x=24 gallons
So additional fuel needed is : x/2 gallons = 24/2=12 gallons
