The length of a rectangle is 3yd more than twice its width, and the area of the rectangle is 35yd² . Find the dimensions of the rectangle.

let width = x

length=(2x+3)

area = 2x^2 + 3x

=> 2x^2 + 3x = 35

=> 2x^2 + 3x - 35 = 0

=>2x(x+5)-7(x+5)=0

=>(2x-7)(x+5)=0

=> x = 7/2

width = 7/2

length = 10
