Use an inquality to solve the problem. I need to show the inquality and all work. I have no idea even were to start.

A 12pound puppy is gaining weight at a rate of 2/3 pounds per week. How much time will it take for the puppy's weight to exceed 37 pounds.

Solution:

12 + (2/3)x   >  37

         2x/3  >  25

            x > 75/2 = 37.5

             puppy will need more than 37.5 weeks. i.e. 38 weeks
