2) The perimeter of a standard-sized rectangular rug is 28 ft. The length is 2 ft longer than the width. Find the dimensions.

Solution:
l=1+2w
32=2l+2w
32=2(1+2w)+2w
solving for w:
w=5 meters
l=11 meters
2.Answer:
w=6 ft
l=8 ft
