A plane flies 2348 mi with the wind. In the same amount of time, it can fly 2052 mi against the wind. The cruising speed (in still air) is 550 mph. Find the speed of the wind.

Let the speed of the wind be v.
The time taken to travel both the ways are equal.
so, 2348 /(550+v) = 2052/(550-v);
which gives : 2348(550-v) = 2052(550+v)
SOlving: v = 162800/4400 = 37 Miles per hour
