Problema Solution

a rocket lauched from top of 110 ft cliff. The velocity of it is 160 ft per second. The height given by the equation is h=16t^2+160t+110. How long will it take to reach 40 ft from the ground?

Answer provided by our tutors

h=16t2+160t+110.

So, to reach 40 ft from the ground => 16t2+160t+110 = 40;

Or, 16t2+160t+70=0.

This equation will not give you a correct answer for t.  It will give only negative values which is not a valid answer.
