it's length is 5 in more than it's width

L=5+W

AREA =A1= 1/2 LW

A1= 1/2(5+W)W

If the length where double and thw wide decereased by 2 inch the area would be increased by 122

L'= 2L

W'= W-2

AREA =A2= 1/2 L'W'= 1/2* 2L(W-2)= 

A2 = A1 +122

A2-A1=122

1/2 W(W+5)  - 1/2 2L(W-2)=122

W(W+5)  -2L(W-2)=244

(W+5)(W- 2W+4)=244

(W+5)(-W+4)=244

W= 239 INCH

AND 

W= -240 INCH  (NOT POSSIBLE )

FOR W = 239 INCH

L=  244 INCH
