Let 'x' be the mass of each bolt and 'y' be the mass of the box, then we have:
20x + y = 340 (1)
48x + y = 760 (2)
If we subtract these 2 equations that is for (2) - (1) we get:
28x = 420
x = 15
Using (1) we get
y = 340 - 20x
y = 340 - 20*15
y = 40
The mass of the bolt is 15g and the mass of the box is 40g.
