P = 37 m and P = 2*(l+w) the perimeter of the rectangle
l = 12*w - 1
2*(12*w - 1 + w) = 37
The solutions of the system of equations
l = 17 m
w = 1.5 m
Thus the dimensions of the new rectangle are 17 m and 1.5 m.
