Box A has a total time of 800 minutes available per day while Box B has a total of 640 minutes. How many of each will maximize the number of rats and mice used in the experiment per day?

let 'x' represent the number of mice and 'y' represent the number of rats
800 = 20x + 10y
640 = 10x + 20y
solving this system we have:
x = 32
y = 16
32 mice and 16 rats will maximize the use of the boxes per day
