A dehydrated patient needs a 6.8% Saline IV solution. Unfortunately, the hospital only has 2% and 8% saline solutions. How many liters of each of these solutions should be mixed together to yield 2 liters of the desired concentration?

ALSO

2A+8B= 6.8

A+4B=3.4-----------------2

SUBTRACT 1  AND 2 WE GETS

3B= 1.4

A=1.534 LITERS
