U have a 2 liter bottle of 10% hydrogen peroxide for bleaching u need to dilute it to 3% antiseptic hydrogen peroxide

let

x= the liters of water we need to add, consider the water to be 0% hydrogen peroxide

we add x liters of water to 2 liters of 10% hydrogen so the total liters of the final solution will be x + 2 liters

the liters of hydrogen in the 2 lietter bottle of 10% hydrogen peroxide + the liters of hydrogen in water = the liters of hydrogen in the final mix that 3% anticeptic hydrogen peroxide

0.1*2 + 0.0*x = 0.03*(x + 2)

by solving this equations we find

x = 14/3

x = 4.67 liters to the nearest hundredth

you need 4.67 liters of water.

the final solution is 2 + 4.67 = 6.67 liters.
