A scale drawing uses a ratio called its scale to show the relationship between the size of the things in the drawing and their actual size.

1 inch = 6 ft

l = 90 ft

w = 30 ft

1 : 6 = l1 : 90

l1 = 90/6

l1 = 15 in

the length in the drawing will be 15 in.

1 : 6 = w1 : 30

w1 = 5 in

the width in the drawing will be 5 in.

the perimeter of the house in the drawing will be

2(w1 + l1) = 2*(5 + 15) = 40 in.
