"How to grab" is probably intended to be "How to graph"

"ex" is most likely "e^x"

The first equation, f(x)=2x+1, is not exponential

entering "f(x)" into an algebra program will be interpreted as "f multiplied times the variable x, in parentheses" unless you are using one of the Function wizards provided by Algebrator

You may graph both of these equations together on the same graph in Algebrator, at doyourmath.com or quickmath.com by changing the functional notation to a single variable, so enter:

y=2x+1

y=e^2 - 2
