Then he jumps again and this time he jumped 6 inches farther than he did on the second jump. The total distance of all the jumping is 26 inches. What was the distance of his second jump?

third jump: 1.5x + 6
the total distance of all the jumping is 26 inches that is
x + 1.5x + 1.5x + 6 = 26
