tiger can eat an antelope in 3 hours. panda can eat the same size antelope in 5 hours. how long would it take them to eat the antelope togeather?

(number of antelopes eaten)=(rate)*(time)
Tiger:
rate=(1/3) (ant/hr)
Panda:
rate=(1/5)(ant/hr)
Together:
1=(1/3 + 1/5)(time)
(15/8)hr= time
Therefore, it would take them 15/8 hr ( or 1.875 hours) to eat the antelope together.
