w = 3 + l/2
lets plug w = 3 + l/2 into l*w = 140
l*(3 + l/2) = 140
by solving the equation we find consider the positive roots only since l>0
l = 14 cm
w = 3 + l/2 = 2 + 7 = 10 cm
