Answer provided by our tutors

Find the surface area of a cylinder with a base radius of r and a height of H.

Solution:

We assume the base radius = r

          the height = H

So the surface area = Side area + 2* Base area

Side area = 2*pi*r*H

Base area = pi*r^2

So

the surface area =2*pi*r*H + 2*pi*r^2 = 2pi*r(r+H), r is base radius and H is height
