d1 = 10 miles the distance traveled upstream
d2 - 16 miles the distance traveled downstream
v + c = the speed of the boat the traveling downstream
v - c = the speed of the boat the traveling upstream
since speed = distance/time => time = distance/speed
the time of the travel upstream = the time of the travel downstream
d1/(v - c) = d2/(v + c)
10/(v - 3) = 16/(v + 3)
