Problema Solution
randy is driving from prosser to sunnyside, to get to sunnyside on time he needs to drive at an average speed of 50 miles per hour, he was half way to sunnyside when he noticed that bad roads had limited his speed to and average of 25 miles per hour, how fast must he drive to average 50 miles per hour for the whole trip?

Since the two distances are equal (each ½ of the trip), we can find the average speed with the following formula:
Average speed=(speed of first half+speed of second half)/2
Now we will plug in the numbers that were given. We will let ‘v’ stand for the velocity of the second half):
50=(25+v)2
Solving for v, we get:
V=75mph
