Two trains are travelling toward each other on adjacent tracks. One train is 240ft long and travelling at a rate of 60mph. The other train is 190ft long and travelling at a rate of 70mph. Find the length of the time interval in seconds between when the trains first meet and when they are completely past each other.

Total distance to be traveled = 240 + 190 = 430 ft.
Relative velocity of trains = 60+ 70 =130 mph = 5280 *130 ft/h
Time interval = distance / velocity
t = 430/( 5280 *130 ) hours
t = 430/( 5280 *130 )*60*60 seconds
t = 2.26 seconds
