Let x = amount loaned at 16%.

This will have a return of: 16% of $x = 0.16x dollars.


Then 1,000,000 - x = amount loaned at 19%.

This will return: 0.19(1000000 - x) dollars.


Together, these returns must equal $180,000 thus we have


0.16x + 0.19(1000000 - x) = 180000


by solving we find


x = 1,000,000/3


x = $333,333.333
