If boy left house running ti store that is 5 miles away & he left at 1:00pm, & his rate of speed is 5 miles an hour what time will he be at the store?

d = 5 miles the distance
v = 5 mph the speed
t = the time of the travel
since speed = distance/time = > time = distance/speed
since the boy needs to go to the store and back the total distance he needs to travel is 2*d
t = 2*d/v
t = 2*5/5
t = 2 hr
he left at 1:00 pm and he will be back in 2 hours that is at 3:00 pm (since 1 + 2 = 3).
