When we put the numbers in order we have:
73, 79, 80, 81, 83, 82, 87, 88 ,89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 96, 99
the median is (88 + 89)/2 = 88.5
the average is
(80 + 79 + 96 + 93 + 94 + 92 + 88 + 87 + 90 + 81 + 83 + 82 + 89 + 99 + 91 + 73)/16 = 87.3125
he difference between the median of these scores and the mean (average) is
