therefore the 2nd number is x-7
and 3rd number is 3x+1
therefore x+x-7+3x+1=9
therefore 5x-6=9
therefore 5x=15
therefore x=3
therefore 1st number=3
2nd number=3-7=-4
3rd number 3*3+1=10
