Answer provided by our tutors

Total number of people with trucks=42

Total number of people with cars=87

Total number of people with trucks and cars=14

Total number of people no vehicle=5

Total number of vehicles=42+87=129

14 people had both so they have been counted twice

subtract 14/2 from total vehicles to neutralize

129-7=122

5 had no vehicle. They havn\t been counted

122+5=127 people
