the equation of the line is given in slope-intercept form:

the slope is m = 7/4.

Another way to find the slope is to take 2 points from the line (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), x1 <> x2 and use the formula for slope:

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1).
