A square water tank 3.5 meters high has a capacity of 40,000 liters. Find the lenght of the sides. (1 cubic meter= 1,000 liters).

Volume =40,0000 liters

=40,000/1000

=40 cubbic meters.

Volume= Base area*Height,.

Base area =3.5*3.5=12.25 sq.m.

V=AH.

Height H=3.5 m.

Arera A=V/H.

=40/3.5

=11.43 sq.m.

Area =s^2.

s= sqrt(11.43)

=3.38 meters.
