For most flying creatures, the length of the wing varies inversely as the number of wing beats per second. A dragonfly has a wing length of l.6 inches and a wing speed of 45 times per second. If a bee has a wing speed of 200 beats per second, what is the length of a bee's wing?

And if a bee has a wing speed of 200 beats per second and the two are directly correlated than the solution is simple. All you need to do is divide the beats per second by the length of the wing for the dragon fly.

45/1.6 = x

As soon as you have the 'x' you then divide 'x' by 200 to find the wing length of the bee.

200/x = length of the bee's wing.
